Hyvää Uutta Vuotta ihan kaikille! (This same article is in English after the Finnish writing)

Jumala saakoon siunata sinua rakas ystävä tulevana vuonna 2010! 

 Teimme nopean päätöksen vanhemmistona pitää rukous- ja paastoviikon heti tässä vuoden alussa. Alkaen huomenna, maanantaina 4. päivä Tammikuuta vietämme erityistä aikaa rukouksessa ja paastossa etsien Jumalan kasvoja. Tahdomme kuulla mitä Jumala haluaa meille puhua ja näyttää koskien tulevaa vuotta. Edessämme on paljon uusia haasteita, ja ennen kaikkea kaipaamme nähdä että moni sielu saisi pelastua.

 Raamattu puhuu niin ihanasti paastosta Matt 6:16-18: "Kun paastoatte, älkää olko synkän näköisiä niin kuin tekopyhät. He tekevät kasvonsa surkean näköisiksi, jotta ihmiset näkisivät heidän paastoavan. Totisesti minä sanon teille: he ovat jo palkkansa saaneet. Mutta kun sinä paastoat, voitele pääsi ja pese kasvosi, jotta sinun paastoamistasi eivät näkisi ihmiset vaan sinun Isäsi, joka on salassa. Isäsi, joka salassa näkee, palkitsee sinut."

  Sama lupaus koskee myös rukousta: "Mutta kun sinä rukoilet, mene kammioosi, sulje ovesi ja rukoile Isääsi, joka on salassa. Isäsi, joka salassa näkee, palkitsee sinut." (Matt 6:6)

 Edessä on viikko jolloin haluamme sekä rukoilla että paastota - ja Jeesuksen sanat ovat voimassa edelleen: Isä palkitsee sinut ja minut kun näin teemme! Taivaalliset palkinnot voivat tulla saman tien tai jopa vuosien päästä, mutta yksi on varmaa - ne kaikki tulevat ajallaan! 

 Tahdon haastaa sinut mukaan etsimään Jumalan kasvoja. Hebrealaiskirjeestä löydämme myöskin ihanan lupauksen: "Mutta ilman uskoa on mahdotonta olla kelvollinen, sillä sen, joka tulee Jumalan luo, täytyy uskoa, että Jumala on ja että hän palkitsee ne, jotka häntä etsivät." (Hebr 11:6)

 Jos olet paikan päällä, pidämme tilaisuuksia kirkolla Tiistaista Perjantai-iltaan 7pm. Keskiviikko on englanninkielinen. Jatkamme vielä Lauantai-aamuna 10 am. Tervetuloa mukaan!

 Happy New Year to Everyone!

 May the Lord bless you this New Year and this new decade that we just started!

 We made a quick decision as the leader team just a few days ago. We will devote ourselves to pray and fast the upcoming week, starting on Monday, January 4th. We want to spend time seeking the face of the Lord and hear what He has to say about the coming year and see what He wants to show us! One of the things we've spoken about a lot the last year is that we so much long to see new souls come into the Kingdom of God. I believe as we position ourselves in prayer and fasting in the beginning of the year we'll see great breakthroughs in many different areas. 

 The Bible has a lot to say about prayer and fasting, and Jesus is speaking about fasting in Matt 6:16-18: "Whenever you fast, do not put on a gloomy face as the hypocrites do, for they neglect their appearance so that they will be noticed by men when they are fasting. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full. But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face so that your fasting will not be noticed by men, but by your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you." 

 What a great promise! The same promise is given about prayer as well: "But you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you." (Matt 6:6) 

 This is what we want to do during the next week. We will pray and we will fast. And the Lord has promised to reward us! Some of the rewards are almost instant, and others wait for us many years ahead. But we can be sure about one thing; He will reward us! 

 I want to challenge you to seek the face of the Lord in a special way next week. Let's give this first full week of the year to the Lord. Let me encourage you with one more great Scripture: "And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him." (Hebr 11:6) Let's seek Him with faith! He WILL reward us!

 Service times will be Tuesday to Friday 7pm, and Saturday 10 am. The only service in English will be on Wednesday 7pm, but if you'd like to join us in the Finnish prayer meetings, you are more than welcome!
